My name is Charles “African Supaman” Kibira. I am an indie artist from Nairobi Kenya, composing Pop music with an African twist. I was raised in America, where I learnt and gained my Dj-ing, music production and performance experience from. In high school, I acquired a set of turntables and speakers which I used to Dj sweet sixteen parties. This made me very popular in my school, I took advantage of it positively which landed me jobs almost every weekend in my 11th and 12th grade. Soon after, I started producing in my bedroom and making my basketball team mixtapes for the games. By the end of school, I felt that there was a mission to be done at home. Africa is an inspiration to many; and since this is where all music originated from, I know that I can uplift the face of the African music by creating it to aid many of Africa’s challenges and problems. Taking my western influence, I mix it with my Kenyan roots to create a magnificent sounds rich in rhythmic inspiring lyrics....more
