Topping many “ones to watch” lists of new artists is Zambian born songstress Nasana. The singer-songwriter based in the UK, continues to fuse an afro vibe to her soul soothing sound. Nasana was part of a vocal group called NOSOVE who represented zambia and won a BBC worldwide singing competition (The Next Big Thing) in 1999. As part of their prize the group travelled to the United Kingdom to record an album called 'Songs from the bush' in the world renowned Maida Vale Studio.
She caught people’s attention with her feature on MAG44 and Pompi's song "Wishing", which is on the 'bwana' album. Her debut single Konka Nkoloko was well received and features her award winning younger brother Pompi. Her sophomore single and video "Higher" debuted on DSTV in August 2021. Her next single'Tili Mu Love' was written as a wedding dedication for her brother Pompi's marriage to renowned gospel artist Esther Chungu. It has since become popular on most wedding playlists.
