Jimmy Hockless. Born in Leeds, UK.
Many would say that my music is lofi, which it is to an extent. However, as I have developed my production skills and music pallet, there are other genres and sub-genres that were implemented and are now the keystone to my music.
My original inspirations come from classic 90's Hip Hop such as A Tribe Called Quest, Big L, Biggie and other old school Hip Hop artists. These artists influenced me to experiment with Jazz/Funk/Soul whilst taking methods from Lo-Fi Hip Hop to create my work. A few other notable artists such as Yussef Kamall, Alfa Mist, O'Donel Levy, Men I Trust and others really helped me identify my own unique approach to music creation.
