Cameroon singer/ songwriter Mbonteh Smith Ngede (known as Vivid) started his music journey when he was in high school. He later became the lead singer of the music group, Realm Squad, releasing hits such as ‘Original Makossa’ and ‘Chop No Dey’ (2015). In 2017 Vivid and Abztrumental decided to focus on their solo career and in June 2019 Vivid caught the attention of record label iLion Entertainment (ILE); and went on to release his official single titled, ‘My Love’. An instant hit with his fans.
Together with other rising talents, Vivid featured on Tzy Panchak’s single ‘Na So”. This single was a huge success with Cameroon music listeners and subsequently, the follow on song, ‘Tomorrow’.
Vivid prides himself in his heritage and this is showcased in his music: a fusion of Afro-pop, dancehall and Makossa (a popular genre originating from Cameroon). Vivid established the genre MakoRnB to represent the style of music he was creating at the earlier stages of his career, which he will continue to explore with future projects....more
