Rayne

Born Chukwu Prince Samuel on the 14th of June 2006,Rayne is a Nigerian singer/song writer and performing artiste. He is from Ebonyi State in the eastern region of the country. An amazingly talented and promising act with an astounding and easily identifiable voice, RAYNE is building himself a very strong and supportive fanbase within the grassroots of the Nigerian Afro beats consuming masses. He discovered a passion for music at the tender age of eight (8) when he joined the church choir as a budding drummer in Assemblies of God church (AG), Port Harcourt, Nigeria. Rayne attended the Staff Nursery and Primary School (S.N.A.P.S) and graduated onto University Demonstration Secondary School (U.D.S.S) all in Port Harcourt.
Particularly loved by his fans in Port Harcourt, Lagos, Abuja and their environs, Rayne is set to distinguish his sound by versatile fusions of the growing afro beats rhythm with genres such as R&B, Dancehall and Pop, garnishing same with well-defined vocal riffs and runs under toppings of staple melodies - “I want the world to hear Rayne in afrobeats, and with a new and refreshing flavour” the 19 year old promising artiste established in a brief telephone interview. Rayne is inspired by real life situations and has a vision to create relatable music that cuts across cultural and racial divides – “creating music makes me feel a deep connection with my source and roots”
In March of 2022, he emerged the winner of a Talent show organized by the media mogul Isaac Utere (MVGD - CEO - Media Works, a father to Burna Boy’s Producer - Leriq).
He is a member of the Artiste Managers Association in Nigeria (AMAN) presided by the veteran Collins Ifeanyi Onwuneme Ajereh Enebeli a.k.a Mavin Grandpa (the patriarch of Don Jazzy’s Mavin and D’Prince’s Jonzing World Records).
In the first quarter of 2022, Rayne recorded and released a debut 6-Track EP titled “PANDEMIC” which gave him the initial recognition within his local space and built a local following.
