Thandiwe, born in Stockholm, roots in Southern Africa. She began singing in her pre-teens and has worked with different producers and musicians ever since. In her forthcoming second EP, "THE TRUTH" Thandiwe will be introducing her new sound that blurs genre lines, creating an emotional yet funky mix of pop, disco & trap.
“I grew up listening to a lot of 70’s funk and disco music, and I’ve always loved to dance, but I felt that I haven’t done enough of that; music that you can dance to. My lyrics are still sad, and I will forever be in love with minor and melancholy sounds, so now I’m combining it all. I want to introduce you to a new side of me, the side that dances in her melancholy.”
Thandiwe’s career has so far taken her on a lifelong journey between many projects, bands and styles, and is now continuing from her 2015 debut EP, “What They Want”, which landed her a nomination for Newcomer of the Year at the SOM Gala in the same year.
