Elina has been playing and writing music as long as she can remember. After graduating university in Canada, Elina moved to Dublin to pursue music more seriously, and completed a Diploma in Songwriting at BIMM Dublin.
In July 2018, she released her debut EP, Elina + the Kicks. The project captures the move to Dublin, friendships and musical relationships she made, and, like much of Elina’s music, grapplings with love, movement, creation, and travel.
She released her first single, West Coast, in September 2018. A road trip in itself, the song was written in Hamilton, the vocal part recorded in Niagara, the rest of the song tracked and produced in Singapore, the sax part recorded in Toronto, and was finally released in Dublin. Her second single, House Song, was a tribute to the student house and found family that was home for four years.
Her third single, Disappear, will be released later this month.
Elina can be found playing live shows around Dublin, both by herself and with her beloved band, the Kicks. She preforms songs full of catchy melodies and thoughtful lyrics, and her sound has been described as Neo-Beach Soul- Pop, with Corona Sunrise Road Trip Vibes....more
