Born in Florence, Italy surrounded by art and history, Anatolia Amoretti’s gift for music was recognized early on. Her mother, a talented mezzo-soprano from Napoli, instilled a profound sense of melody, and her father, a violist in the Florence Chamber Orchestra, gave Anatolia her first lessons on the violin when she was only 4. She continued private lessons at the Conservatorio di Firenze as a precollege student and later attended the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome. She moved to San Francisco in 2009 where she began her recording career with Classical Ambiance Records and soon found an audience for her unique blend of classical and contemporary music, a mixture of the classical music of her youth and the melodies of jazz and pop music. Anatolia lives in the San Francisco Bay area where she teaches privately while raising 2 girls and a dog named Nicolo....more
