Brisbane based guitarist & singer, Majelen, is fast becoming one of Qld’s premier & ground-breaking artists in the indie/folk music scene.
Majelen’s percussive guitar style combines a degree in Jazz music with years of backpacking with her signature Maton guitar, and has been labelled “writing genius” and a “beautiful inspiration”.
2018 is a year of releases for Majelen including her debut single "Me and You", EP "The Story" and Australia/NZ/SE Asia Tour in 2018.
Written & almost entirely self-produced from a laptop whilst backpacking & working on farms in the middle of South Africa, her first releases are inspired by many cultures of nations around the world, and personal tales from countless individuals who have impacted her life whilst on the road.
After being fortunate enough to perform alongside names such as Katie Noonan & Kristin Berardi, Majelen’s solo work combines ground-breaking technical fluency and speed, thought provoking lyrics, improvised melodies & a captivating stage presence, which continues to inspire audiences around the globe.
