Jessica “Jekasole” Camacho is a local Hiphop artist born and raised in Miami, FL. At the age of 12 Jessica started dabbling with poetry but never took it seriously. Being around her older cousins who wrote music themselves they pushed & encouraged Jessica to discover her hidden artistic talents. An at the age of 18 is when Jessica started to take the music industry a lot more serious.
September 2017 Jekasole released her first official production entitled “Bare a New Name”
And the name is in reference to the Bible verse revelation 2:17
“The one who has an ear had better hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who conquers, I will give him some of the hidden manna, and I will give him a white stone, and on that stone will be written a new name that no one can understand except the one who receives it.’”
This project is basically to give you an insight on Jekasole’s Journey from where she used to be than and where she is now. Although she isn’t were she would like to be now. She has realized that she is no longer whom she used to be hence the title “Bare A New Name “
Jessica's sole mission is trying to shift a culture by keeping the truth within her lyrics with real life encounterments that she has faced before and even now within her walk of faith. Jekasole’s mission is to share hope with every note and let the world know it has a name and it’s Jesus Christ.
