Ghanaian artist $krilla Ghad started his musical journey in the Toronto community of Parkdale. Despite being an active participant in school events/teams, he was one of the few Ghanaians in the community. Rapping became a possible reality after being encouraged by a classmate about his skills. Some friends thought it was a farfetched idea, but this would propel him into a whole new world.
In 2005 his family moved to a crime stricken part of the city known as Jane and Finch. Fatefully, in 2009, he was able to rise from these circumstances and started his rap career in a group called R.O.S. "Remember Our Struggle". The group flooded the streets with many rap anthems. But, for $krilla Ghad a new passion would soon emerge.
2015, The solo release of "Bill Up" solidified his mark in the industry. From 2015 to 2018 more releases garnered him lots of attention until the release of the smash hit record "Soco (Remix)" alongside Hundo P in 2019 did just that. Afrobeats was starting to take on a whole new look.
In 2021, he linked up with internationally renowned Ghanaian producer Nvrhcos (pronounced Nar-cos). "Trapfrobeats" was born....more
