Pit'a Mbongo
This worthy SAWA descendent by his mother, grew up listening to different musical genres. However, his main influences have always been the makosa makers.
He began his musical career with a group of friends in a school in Cameroon in the city of LOUM.
In 1999 he joined the band of the very famous JEAN PAUL MONDO the Sengwesse band as a singer and began to learn guitar.
In 2001, he recorded his first album under the direction of Stéphane Meydan (JMS) and MUNTU VALDO (unpublished).
In 2002 he moved to the United Kingdom and after a little respite, he will pursue music studies at "South Birmingham College" crowned by a Btec in music practice.
His first real album "My feeling" has just been released.
With the album "My feelings", Pit'a MBONGO is positioned as a true defender of makossa, which seems to be a titanic challenge in view of the emergence of urban and foreign music in Cameroon....more
