Laura comes from humble beginnings, raised on a small farm in the Northern California foothills, before going on to become a Grammy® Winner and a Billboard Top Ten Recording Artist. Her mother began teaching her piano when she was four years old, and she learned to play on her Great Grandmother Etta’s one hundred year old upright piano.
In between helping her parents grow and make all their own food, including bread, cheese, and butter, she composed her first songs in her early teens, and continues on, producing many more musical works.
