“A few years ago, I basically rolled straight off a tour bus and through the double glass doors of a massive office block to start a new job. It was a shock. I worked for endless hours in that place, often well into the night, calculating figures and writing emails at the heart of the corporate machine” says Stephanie Davin, lead singer of dynamic five-piece art-rock band, Post Louis.
And this is the driving force that lies at the heart of the album, announced just as Post Louis return from a tour supporting Max Bloom (Yuck): desperate exhaustion – both through mental and physical labour. The band's early EPs were preoccupied with the ways in which people can damage one other, their debut album Descender extends this gaze, taking in questions about love, labour, effort and blame.
Post Louis garnered critical acclaim for a string of singles sporadically released throughout the last 18 months, and now their iridescent debut album is announced for release on 28th Feb 2020.
