Harea Band is a Canadian soul, pop, r&b, and funk collective led by singer/songwriter Alex Harea. Harea, who is the son of professional classical musicians, completed his bachelor of music at Carleton University in 2016 where he developed an interest in crossing over jazz harmony with popular music. The band, which has been compared to the likes of Bruno Mars, Prince, Jamiroquai, consists of musicians specializing in everything from Jazz to hip hop and gospel. All of this comes together to create a truly unique and accessible sound incorporating four on the floor dance rhythms, pop melodies that get stuck with you for days, improvised solo sections, and a high energy live performance you won't soon forget.
In 2020 the band has their sights on releasing three new singles as well as broadening the scope of their tours to reach a larger audience across Canada and in the Northeaster U.S.
