Oluwatosin Doz
Born in Lagos in the early 90s, Oluwatosindoz started music officially in 2017 with her single Mo fẹ Gbọ. Mo fe Gbọ was a unique experience as the chorus was gotten from a dream. The release of this single strengthened her convictions and decision to pursue music as a career and a calling. Other singles include: Ká Júbà, Ó n pín re, Bówó, Ogbeniníja, Òrun Ṣí and Restored.
Oluwatosindoz explores the Nigerian music space with her unique, alternative sound. Her songs, though widely classified as gospel, are only a tale of her experience and knowledge of God.
Moving slightly away from the regular gospel sounds and exploring other genres, she tends to spread her tentacles to reach unexplored spaces in the gospel scene in a bid to create a narrative that gospel music should be heard by all and should be expressed in all genres. Hence her songs may not be seen as "church music." As the Gospel is not meant for the four walls of a church building.
Her debut album "Melodies of Salem" incorporates both afro-beat, folk, Pop and Soul genres. She still looks to express her songs in other unique forms....more
