home again

Today I ran away from home, winded up on the main road

All these cars, all these lives that I don't know

So I'll stare at each one and wonder where they might be going and where they might be coming from

First a Subaru and then a girl and a dog. His name's Rocky

She's driving off to college on her way

She'll drop him off with her uncle and aunt

She's taking the long route to avoid the sob

Right behind her, there's a dad

Driving a minivan, just picked up his son from rehab

He's getting better, or so he thinks
