On The Road

Life takes its turns, fork on the road

I threw my burner phone because I'm going home

I'll set the table, iron my shirt

I can wash all I want to you can still see the dirt,

On the crevice of my fingers are the pieces of the earth

But were gathered round a table and we don't speak of work

I'm on plate number two, beer number 5

Desserts on the way, i've got room for a slice

and it tastes so much sweeter when your by my side

I think it's the weather but it could be the wine

Wiping tears with a handkerchief till I'm all dry
