Tissues surround me like tape at a crime scene

Unexpected for everybody, some things are meant to leave

We'll clean up the apartment like nothing ever happened

Barren walls and a barren bedroom, a not so sunny June

I'll keep telling myself these things happen for a reason

But it's hard when a piece of you still haunts that living room
