I've been dead since January

Feel my bones are rotting inside my warm flesh

And the maggots eat whats left of me

Until my body is nothing but empty

And the guns are shooting through my naive gut

It doesn't know it'll never wake up

And the heart that beats so very faintly

Will soon deflate and melt through my body

And I feel the bandages fall off my skin

Revealing all the scars that have let themselves in

And I fall onto my knees again
