Nearly 2 years later, in 2023, Goddy Zambia was hosted on @BoomLive in an exclusive interviews by Angela Uyi where he explained some of the songs and the narrative they tend to drive to the delight of some of his many die-hard fans.

A fast-paced, foot-tapping Zed Afro Fusion and Afriqa inspired album, Born in the Zambian's lyrics nevertheless carry emotional weight and electrifying delivering behind the catchy Zed melodies that drive these powerhouse songs are stories of the dark side of the Zambian dream and typifies the quest for success in humans in both private and professional lives. Many tracks deal with the struggles of hard-working ordinary people and the bitterness, hunger, heartbreaks, anger they feel as life doesn't bring them riches or glory and their aspirations in life.

The song NJALA ft. Lanji , for example, is talking about huger; the story is about a young man married with wife and kids in a village and the man who was promised city life left for the city for the search of greener pastures promised to him by his friend. He thought the city was greener and only to arrived in the city and was disappointed. He couldn't just return home but had to engage in menial jobs to earn a living while his family back in the village felt neglected thinking he'd made it big in the city. While IT COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER is talking about how good it could have been if we all have a soulmate who bear our names from birth and such would have prevented all the heartbreaks one encounters in romantic relationships.

INU MAYI tells the story of a young man whose life is ruined when he loses his Mother. Inu Mayi song is like talking to a dead mother and asking her if the life over there is better than the life here and why she had neglected or forgotten about the children she'd left behind. It further explains why it's good to celebrate mother's while they are still alive.
It's not hard to imagine that the artist is channelling real people's stories and making melodious songs from it. The album will leave you in no doubt of the unique and extraordinary talent of the King of Zed music.

Unlike many other best-selling album artists, Goddy Zambia is still releasing chart-topping music and remains at the top of his game. It doesn't surprise me at all. This young Artist is a definition of true talent.
