POWER COMMUNION SERVICE – WEDNESDAY, 22ND MARCH 2023
ANCHOR SCRIPTURE(S): MATTHEW 6:33
MESSAGE TOPIC: COVENANT DETAILS FOR SUPERNATURAL SUPPLY
By: Dr Paul Enenche
SERVICE OBJECTIVE(S): Understanding the covenant details of Divine provision/supernatural abundance
God blesses His people on the platform of the covenant (Gen. 8:22; Deut. 8:18)
COVENANT DETAILS FOR SUPERNATURAL SUPPLY:
1. Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness (Matt. 6:33,31-32; 2 Chron. 26:5)
Make God and His Kingdom your life’s priority
2. Set your love on God (1 Cor. 2:9-10; 1 Kings 3:3-13; 10:23-24)
God should command your affection and attention;
i. There is nobody and nothing you love like God
ii. Nobody and nothing should take the place of God in your life
iii. Nobody and nothing can come between you and God
Love for God will usher you into the realm of resources beyond your imagination
3. Look up to God alone (Jer. 17:5-8; Gen. 14:22-23)
Look away from anything and anybody but God.
To look up to man is to end with success, progress and flourishing.
To look up to man is to end in scarcity, adversity, empty-handedness, and disappointment.
No matter how rich or important man is, they are subject to failure; the only Person that can’t fail is God.
Don’t look up to anybody including yourself, because even you can fail.
God will use men as channels but God remains the Source; never turn a channel into a source.
4. Be committed to the Covenant practice of giving (Gen. 8:22; 2 Cor. 9:6-7; Acts 20:35)
If there is a harvest time there must be a seed time.
Giving begins with the Tithe. The Tithe opens the Heavens and the seed brings the harvest.
It is not what you do occasionally that changes your life, it is what you do consistently, tenaciously and persistently.
5. Be faithful (Prov. 28:20; Gen. 39:5-6; Dan. 6:3-4; Job 1:1-3)
Have integrity and character; be reliable, especially in financial matters
If man can be trusted, he can be entrusted both by God and man.
Financial integrity will always attract financial prosperity; but financial crookedness will always bring financial wretchedness
6. Be diligent (Deut. 28:8; Prov. 10:4; 13:4; Gen. 47:6)
Be diligent means be responsible and hardworking; do something with your hands/life
The Blessing of God is looking for the work of your hands
To be slack is to lack
If you choose hard work, you will escape hard life.
Our Covenant fathers were tireless workers – Abraham led an army at over 100years of age; Isaac dug wells until he wearied out the Philistines; Jacob was a tireless worker!
7. Avoid Indebtedness (Deut. 15:6; 28:12; Prov. 22:7; Rom. 13:8)
When you make borrowing a lifestyle, you excuse your life from the blessing.
i. Borrowing takes you out of the covenant coverage
ii. Borrowing causes you to look at alternatives and sources other than God
iii. Borrowing causes you to attack the blessings yet to arrive
Life becomes stressful when you want to beat your season and timings
8. Avoid wastefulness (Prov. 18:9; Luke 15:11-14; John 6:11-13)
Money is in haste where waste is in place
God will never release His blessing on waste
The things you don't need, don’t buy them; don’t spend on impulse.
CONCLUSION:
1. The covenant is beyond just giving and sowing
2. The working of the covenant is guaranteed when the details of the covenant are observed
