MESSAGE TOPIC: SUPERNATURAL SUPPLY IN TIMES OF UNCERTAINTY AND SCARCITY

SERVICE OBJECTIVE(S):
1. Understanding the God of supernatural supplies
2. Understanding the secrets of supply in times of uncertainty and scarcity
It is clear throughout Scriptures that we serve the God of supernatural supplies
We serve the God Whose official title is Jehovah Jireh – God Our Provider
UNDERSTANDING THE GOD OF SUPERNATURAL SUPPLIES:
1. God is the Covenant Provider and Supplier; He is the God of Covenant Provision and Supplies (Gen. 8:20-22; 2 Cor. 9:6-7; Deut. 8:7-11; 18; Zech. 8:12)
God is covenant-bound to provide and supply
2. God is the God of Supernatural supplies in adverse times (Ps. 33:18-19; 37:18-19)
There are some human beings that are good to you sometimes but God is good all the time
You are not permitted to be consumed by famine and scarcity when others are consumed
3. God is the God Who prospered His covenant people in times of famine (Gen. 12:10; 13:1-2; 43:11-12; 26:1-3; 12-14; 47:15-21; 23; 27; 1Cor. 10:13)
SCRIPTURAL EXAMPLES OF GOD PROSPERING HIS COVENANT PEOPLE IN TIMES OF FAMINE:
3a. Abraham (Gen. 12:10; 13:1-2)
3b. Jacob (Gen. 43:11-12)
3c. Isaac (Gen. 26:1-3; 12-14)
3d. Israel (Gen. 47:15-21; 23; 27)
In times like this it is important to note that there have always been times like this
It is not the truth that sets you free; it is the truth that you know that sets you free.
Until you know what the Bible carries, it doesn’t deliver anything to you
4. God is the God of Supernatural supplies from unbelievable sources (Ps. 78:19-29; Matt. 17:27; 1kings 17:3-6)
SCRIPTURAL EXAMPLES OF SUPERNATURAL SUPPLIES FROM UNBELIEVABLE SOURCES:
4a. God brought water from the Rock and manna from above for Israel in the wilderness (Ps. 78:19-29)
4b. Peter’s catch of the fish with the coin (Matt. 17:27)
4c. Elijah’s supply from a ravenous bird (1 Kings 17:3-6)
4d. Peter’s catch of fishes from an empty lake in Gennesaret (Luke 5:4)
Everything positive can happen to me from any angle at any time.
5. God is the God of Supernatural multiplication of resources (1 Kings 17:13-16; John 2:5-11; 2 Kings 4:3-6)
SCRIPTURAL EXAMPLES OF SUPERNATURAL MULTIPLICATION OF RESOURCES:
5a. The widow of Zarephath (1 Kings 17:13-16)
5b. The transformation of water to wine in the wedding of Cana of Galilee (John 2:5-11)
H2O turned to C6H12O6 when Jesus turned water into wine
God will multiply what you have and add what you lack
5c. The prophet’s widow (2 Kings 4:3-6)
5d. The multiplication of five loaves and two fishes (John 2:5-11)
HOW TO EXPERIENCE SUPERNATURAL SUPPLIES IN TIMES OF UNCERTAINTY & ADVERSITY:
1. Continually look up to God; maintaining confidence in God continually (Jer. 17:5-8; Ps. 34:5; 121:1-4; Gen. 14:21-23)
Continually looking up to God is the secret of thriving in all seasons
Confidence in God is the secret of comfort in life
2. Active Covenant practice (Gen. 8:22; 2Cor. 9:6-7; Philip. 4:15)
The Covenant is superior to the climates of life
Laws are laws under all circumstances; principles are principles under all conditions
The best time to practice the covenant is when it is hard to practice it
The covenant is a covering against the adverse climate of life
3. Connection to Divine direction (1 Kings 17:13-16; 17:3-6; Ps. 29:3-5; 2 Kings 4:3-6; Matt. 17:27)
The voice of God breaks the limitations of life (Ps. 29:3-5)
Divine direction especially in times of adversity is key to Divine provision
Divine direction will always provoke Divine provision
The Voice of God can bring you Divine provision and preservation
4. Maintaining the attitude of gratitude and praise (Joel 1:11-12; John 6:11-13; Hab. 3:17-19; John 6:10-12; Rom. 8:31)
When things are drying up around you, never allow your joy and praise to dry up
Gratitude is a breaker of hard grounds in times of adversity
Appreciation is fertilization for multiplication (John 6:10-12)
Everything grows around the grateful; everything dries around a grumbler
If you are not against yourself, nothing and no one can be against you
If you have lost anything, God is the reason why you did not lose everything – Bishop David Oyedepo
If God is silent, it does not communicate approval; many times the quietness and silence of God is an ominous and dangerous sign
God may be silent now but His silence is not consent
PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS:
- Any plague of death looking for you is broken!
- Every garment of rejection is set on fire!
- Every spirit of impersonation is leaving you right now!
- I take authority over every eye and leg affliction. I declare them healed in Jesus’ Name!
- Everything that is a challenge and concern in your life God handles that concern
