In this world of the internet, many of us will do anything just to be seen with a celebrity in a video or just a photo uploaded in their social media platforms.
Footballers and other athletes in general are scared to take a picture with Drake for one key reason; The Drake Curse![0x1f633]
Drake Curse is a phenomenon where teams or individuals suffer misfortune after having some type of association with the 'God's Plan' rapper after usually posting it on social media.

1. FC Barcelona[0x1f606]
Drake tweeted that he staked over Ksh 73 million in a bet against Real Madrid in the El Clasico pitting Barcelona to win the match. Not only that, he made the team where his own logo brand of an Owl of which he took a picture of himself with the team's jersey.
Barcelona went on to lose the game 3-1 against rivals Real Madrid and fans can't keep quiet about it.
2. AS Roma[0x1f602]
The Italian team made a ban to everyone in the team to avoid any form of interaction with the Canadian rapper until the end of the 2019 season as teams who had interacted with him suffered misfortune at the team's cost. Roma weren't taking any chances as the curse was taking effect at full force.
3. Aubamayeng [0x1f632]
The former Arsenal man took to his social media his picture with the singer and rapper, Drake. Drake was holding the shirt of Aubamayeng with all smiles in the photo. Little did the Arsenal man knew what was to become of him and the team. Arsenal went on to lose the next game against Everton in the crucial FA match and later Aubamayeng would soon be sold to Barcelona months later.

The Argentine and former Manchester City talisman wasn't spared too. The club legend took to his social media to show off his interaction with Drake. Aguero went on to miss a crucial penalty against Spurs in the UEFA Champions League and VAR went on to scrub off the potential goal that would send them into the finals. Manchester City went on to lose to finalists Tottenham Hotspurs.

Paul has crossed paths with Drake on a number of occasions during his time at Juventus and Manchester United, but the most recent meeting in March 2019 appears to have done the damage as the Red Devils subsequently went on to lose in the FA Cup quarter-final against Wolves.

The Irish mixed martial artist shared a photo of himself with Drake, who was draped in an Ireland flag, just before his fight with Khabib Nurmagomedov. The outcome of that fight? Fourth-round submission victory for Khabib.
Tennis superstar Serena Williams is another supposed victim of the curse as she endured defeat to the totally unfancied Roberta Vinci in the 2015 US Open final. Drake was a prominent figure at Williams's matches throughout the year.

Arsenal fans aren't happy at all with the latest developments as Drake has posted himself wearing the club's vintage jersey just after seeing Barcelona losing to Real Madrid at the weekend. Will Arsenal suffer the same fate as other clubs involved with this Drake Curse? Only time will tell.
