Football Club Barcelona will wear shirts featuring rapper Drake’s logo to celebrate the popular music artist being the first ever artist to reach 50 billion streams on Spotify.
No, it’s not a Sheffield Wednesday owl, but the rapper’s brand and record label OVO that will take the club’s main partner Spotify’s space on the front of the team’s kit for this weekend’s huge El Clasico showdown.
The LaLiga giants face fierce rivals Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu this Sunday.
And Xavi’s side will be donning special shirts to honour the internationally acclaimed artist and four-time Grammy winner following his latest achievement.
Barca will also wear a special version of the shirt during the warm up, featuring the number 50 – representing the Drake record-breaking number of streams – on the back, with the Spotify logo on the front.
Drake’s OVO– which stands for October’s Very Own – sign will be the latest to take pride and place on the strip, making a one-time appearance in El Clasico.
