From the start of the challenge to its final phase, the sleepless nights of the top 5 emcees were worth it in the end. We held a grand finale in their honour; for making it to the end of the cypher challenge, they are indeed rap gods!
Congratulations to Foster Nnamdi Chima - Fozter, Mayowa Amund - Punchline, Awoudu David - Preacher Kingz, Segun Awolu - Seghun, and Barnabas Michael - Barnyjuice; officially crowned winners of the #BoomplayPassTheMic season 1 cypher challenge.

The competition was open to all emerging lyricists and rappers in Nigeria. The top 3 winners received cash prizes of One million, five hundred thousand, and two hundred thousand Naira, respectively.
The Top 5 winners emerged from the massive entries received, and we hosted them in Lagos for a week.
