Friday August 5th

Funkwav Bounces Vol 2 by Calvin Harris

Calvin Harris’ sixth studio album titled Funk Wav Bounces Vol 2 will be released this Friday August 5th serving as his first album in five years and a follow up to the critically acclaimed Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 1 released in June 2017.

The album has a star studded list of guest appearances, featuring Snoop Dogg, Young Thug, Normani, Pharrell Williams, Dua Lipa, Busta Rhymes, Justin Timberlake, Chloe Bailey, 21 Savage, Latto, Charlie Puth, Tinashe, Swae Lee, Stefflon Don, Offset, 6lack, Pusha T, Donae'o, Halsey, Lil Durk, Shenseea, and Jorja Smith.

Playboy by Fireboy DML


After three back to back smash hit singles from his upcoming third studio album, Fireboy DML is finally set to release the highly anticipated record titled Playboy this Friday August 5th.

Fireboy DML recently unveiled the promising tracklist with 14 songs featuring guest appearances from Chris Brown, Ed Sheeran, Rema, Asake, Euro and Shenseea.

Speaking to ThisDayMagazine in a recent interview Fireboy revealed the inspiration behind his ablum title citing; “ It’s me willing to come out of my shell to “play”. To stop overthinking things and live my life like the pop star that I am. Not to be careless, but to care less about what others will think and stop brooding over decisions too much. Over the past year, I’ve learned that sometimes it’s okay to do things and watch life unfold. So basically, it’s me telling myself it’s time to come out and have fun, to enjoy the fame I’ve worked so hard for. To experience new things and new people. To “play”.



Friday August 12th

Freaky Girl by Nicki Minaj


Nicki Minaj is set to release her new single titled Freaky Girl on Augsut 12th 2022. The single samples the Rick James’ classic Super Freak and has fans bubbling with excitement as the last time Nicki was playful with a sample the Iconic hit Anaconda was birthed.

Nicki Minaj teased the single last month on TikTok becaming a viral trend with over 127,000 videos using the sound. The promotional video of Minaj feeling herself to the track playing in the background has over 9.5 million views and 1.6 million likes.

This will be departure from Nicki’s latest releases which have been dubbed by fans as ‘Op music’ due to their aggressive nature opting for a more fun tongue and cheek summer anthem.


Friday August 19th

Holy Fvck by Demi Lovato

Demi Lovato’s upcoming eighth studio album titled Holy Fvck is set for release this August 19th 2022. The album will mark her departure from pop music going back to her emo rock roots reminiscent of her debut era.

The album is preceded by the singles; "Skin of My Teeth" released on June 10, 2022 and "Substance" released on July 15, 2022.

Announcing the album on social media Demi captioned;
"The process of making this album has been the most fulfilling yet, and I'm grateful to my fans and collaborators for being on this journey with me. Never have I been more sure of myself and my music, and this record speaks that for itself.

Viva Las Vengeance by Panic! At The Disco


Viva Las Vengeance set for release on August 19th 2022 will serve as Panic! At The Disco’s seventh studio album.

The album is preceded by the lead single and title track "Viva Las Vengeance" released on June 1, 2022. Brendon Urie the group’s lead singer described the album as a "cinematic musical journey about the fine line between taking advantage of your youth, seizing the day and burning out"

Friday August 26th

God Did by DJ Khaled

DJ Khaled recently announced his 13th studio album titled God Did set for release this August 26th 2022.

The album will be promoted by the lead single featuring Hip Hop heavyweights Drake and Lil Baby, titled Staying Alive out this Friday 5th August. With Drake and DJ Khaled having a phenomenal portfolio of hit collaborations including Popstar, I’m On One, No New Friends, Greece and To the Max this release is shaping up to be a certified Bop.

The official tracklist for the album is yet to be unveiled but knowing DJ Khaled we won’t be disappointed, I just hope to see Doja on it.
