2 NIGERIAN WOMEN HOLD THE MOST AFRICAN WOMEN FOOTBALLER OF THE YEAR AWARD

African Women Footballer of the Year is awarded by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) in December each year. The award was given out for the first time in 2001.
With reference to this post < ChileoNation's Post> there are two (2) female players who's extraordinary skillful plays Nigerian has sent their names sailing far and wide as the only women to receive the African Women Footballer of the Year award four (4) times each. They are Asisat Oshoala and Perpetua Nkwocha.
1. ASISAT OSHOALA (born 9 October 1994)
The Nigerian expert footballer currently plays as a striker for Primera División club FC Barcelona Femení and captains the Nigerian Women's national team. Generally viewed as one of the best African female footballers ever and truly outstanding in the world, she is the most improved African female footballer ever, and a joint-record four-time African Women's Footballer of the Year.
Asisat recently played for English clubs Arsenal and Liverpool, Chinese club Dailan, and Nigerian clubs Rivers Angels and FC Robo. She won the 2015 FA Women's Cup with Arsenal; two association titles and a cup title with Dalian; and the 2019-20 Copa de la Reina and 2019-20 Supercopa de España Femenina with Barcelona.
She was the first African (Nigerian) player to score a goal in a UEFA Women's Champions League final and has assisted Barcelona with arriving at the semi-finals three continuous years, and one finals. On 16 May 2021, Asisat turned the first African lady to win the UEFA Champions League, after Barcelona crushed Chelsea 4-0 in the finals.
Asisat was the most significant standard scorer at the 2014 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup and was named best player at the competition. She was additionally named best player and second top goalscorer with the Super Falcons who came out on top for the 2014 African Women's Championship.
2. PERPETUA NKWOCHA (born 3 January 1976)
Previously a member and captain of the Nigeria women's national football team is the coach of Clemensnäs IF from Swedish Women's Football Division 2, she previously played for Swedish club Sunnanå SK.
She's won the African Women Footballer of the Year award 4 times - 2004, 2005, 2010, 2011.
