NUBIA RED MAGIC 7S SERIES MAKES ITS DEBUT

Nubia held a launch event today (July 11th) where they unveiled the much awaited Red Magic 7S series. The series is made of Red Magic 7s and 7s Pro.

RED MAGIC 7S

The Red Magic 7S sports a 6.8-inch AMOLED Full HD+ display with LTM and DC dimming, with a 165hz refresh rate support.

Under the hood is the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset fabled on 4nm process, paired with up to 16GB RAM and 512GB storage. Nubia also equipped the device with a Magic GPU stable frame engine that supports rendering and imaging synchronization, a five-fold rendering buffer, and intelligent recognition of TC supplementary frames. The device come pre-installed with Red Magic 5.0 UI based on Google's Android 12 OS.

To ensure smooth running while using the phone especially when gaming as the phone is a gaming centric, Nubia equipped the smartphone with ICE 9.0 liquid-cooling technology. And also a built-in fan that help to circulate air at speed of up to 20,000RPM and keep the device cool.

The device rear camera is equipped with a triple rear camera setup which comprises a 64MP main sensor accompanied by an 8MP wide-angle sensor and a 2MP macro sensor. The front camera utilise an 8MP under-display camera sensor for selfies and video calls. This enable the device to have a full screen experience without any cut-out and would help in gaming and other phone usage.

Powering the device is a 4,500mAh battery capacity with support for a massive 120W fast charging support. For connectivity boost a dual Nano SIM support, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5,2, GPS. IR blaster, NFC and a USB Type-C Port.

RED MAGIC 7S PRO

The Red Magic 7s Pro features a 6.8-inch AMOLED display but with a 120Hz refresh rate. The smartphone is also equipped with Red Magic x Qualcomm LTM dimming technology.

Powering the device is Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset fabled on 4nm process. The chipset is also paired with Nubia's proprietary Red Core 1 which is a dedicated gaming chipset for enhancing the performance of the device. The smartphone comes with an advanced Ice 10.0 cooling system to help keep the device cool. It runs the same software as it base model.

For photography, the Red Magic 7s Pro use the same sensor for its rear as the base model 7s except for the front panel which utilise a 16MP sensor for selfie and video recording.

The Red Magic 7s Pro is powered by 5,000mAh battery capacity and it supports 135W wired fast charging.

Nubia also unveiled a spcual edition to Red Magic 7S Pro dubbed Red Magic Transformer Edition Model. The special edition model will have a transformer-inspired design. It will match the iconic appearance of Bumblebee. It will also come in a special box in the shape of an hexagonal-shaped retail box and will pack a Bumblebee-inspired external cooler, a protective cover, and some other accessories.

The Special Transformer Edition Red Magic 7S Pro will be available at a retail price of 6,499 yuan ($969).


Price

The Red Magic 7s will retail for 3,999 yuan for the base 8GB/128GB while the 12GB/256GB will go for 4,799 yuan. The Deuterium front transparent model with 12GB/256GB storage option is priced at 4,899 yuan, while the 16GB/512GB storage model will be available for 5,499 yaun.

The Red Magic 7s Pro will retail for 5,199 yuan for the base 12GB/256GB while the 16GB/512GB will go for 5,999 yuan. The Deuterium front transparent model with 12GB/256GB storage option is priced at 5,299 yuan, while the 16GB/512GB storage model will be available for 5,999 yaun.

Nubia is yet to reveal when the device will be available for purchase.
