This July is probably the best month music wise in 2022, I mean with legends like Beyonce, NeYo and Burna Boy all dropping projects I don’t think it can get any better. Here are some of the top music releases you should have marked in your calender this month;
July 9th
Love Damini by Burna Boy
After pushing his album back by 6 days to meet the traditional Friday release, Burna Boy released the official tracklist to his forthcoming album titled Love, Damini on Saturday July 2nd the initial release date.
Love Damini will be composed of 19 tracks with guest appearances from music heavywheights like Popcaan, Blxst, Kehlani, J Hus, Ed Sheeran and Khalid. The album will be released this Friday 9th July and will feature previously released singles Kilometre and Last Last.
Burna Boy's previous album Twice As Tall was a massive success earning him a Grammy for Best Global Music Album and becoming the most streamed album on Boomplay at the time with over 90 million plays.

Special by Lizzo
Lizzo is set to drop her upcoming fourth studio album titled ‘Special’ next Friday, July 15th.
The album was preceeded by the top 5 smash hit, About Damn Time, which is argued to be 2022’s song of the summer due to its dominance in pop culture trends including a viral tiktok dance craze.
She also released a promotional single titled grrrls which is a feel good women empowerment anthem.
Lizzo promises the 12 track album is full of back to back bangers saying in an interview with Entertainement
Oh I only want songs that are love frequency', like, very about love, and also bangers," she explained.
"I wanted to make Lizzobangers again. So even if it's a ballad, it bangs. Every song is memorable and delicious and you want to hear it again and again and again.

Jack In The Box by J Hope (of BTS)
With BTS, the biggest group worldwide, announced their indefinite hiatus one can’t be more excited to hear from the individual members.
J Hope has since hit the ground running releasing his debut solo single “More” on Thursday June 30th becoming the group’s first member to release a solo project following the announcement of the group’s disbandment last month.
“More” will serve as the lead single to his forthcoming debut album titled Jack In the Box which will be released on July 15th in both physical and digital formats. J-Hope’s solo album, as expressed in the title of the album ‘Jack In The Box,’ represents his aspirations to break the mold and grow further.”
The 28-year-old rapper is already set to make history by becoming the first South Korean headliner on the main stage of Lollapalooza later this month.

Self Explanatory by Ne-Yo
The Grammy-winning RnB legend, Ne-Yo announced his eighth studio album titled Self Explanatory which will be released on July 15th.
The 13-track LP was preceeded by previously released singles “U 2 Luv” with Jeremih, “Stay Down” featuring Yung Bleu, “Don’t Love Me,” “What If” and “You Got The Body.”
In addition to the above mentioned features , Ne Yo will also be joined by Zae France and Trippie Redd as guest stars on the LP

Beyonce announcing her comeback in music was one of the pop culture highlights of 2022, yet again breaking the internet with just three words on her Instagram bio.
Her lead single titled Break My Soul has been an instant smash garnering millions of streams globally debuting at the top 15 of the Billboard Hot 100 with only 3 days of a 7 day tracking week.
Beyonce shared the album cover and a message to her fans on Instagram saying;
‘Creating this album allowed me a place to dream and to find escape during a scary time for the world. It allowed me to feel free and adventurous in a time when little else was moving. My intention was to create a safe place, a place without judgment.
A place to be free of perfectionism and overthinking. A place to scream, release, feel freedom. It was a beautiful journey of exploration. I hope you find joy in this music. I hope it inspires you to release the wiggle. Ha! And to feel as unique, strong, and sexy as you are.’
Renaissance is Beyoncé’s first solo studio album since 2016’s Lemonade marking the end to a 6 year hiatus. Fans speculate there will be an Act 2 of Renaissance following some clues dropped on her website which we can’t be more excite to hear.
