Asus Unveils ROG 6 Series

Asus held a launch event today (July 5th) where they unveiled the much awaited ROG 6 Series. The series comprises of the base model ROG 6 and 6 Pro. The series is the direct successor to last year ROG 5 series, and its pack upgrade over its predecessor.
The ROG 6 series sport a 6.78-inch full-HD+ (1,080x2,448 pixels) AMOLED display with 165Hz refresh rate, 720Hz touch sampling rate, 1ms response time, 23ms touch latency, HDR10+ support, and up to 1200 nits peak brightness. It features a 2.5D curved glass with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection and the display has a Pixelworks i6 processor.
The ROG 6 Pro features a small PMOLED display on the back panel with ROG Vision.
Powering both the device is Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset fabled on 4nm process. The chipset is paired with up to 12/16GB LPDDR5 RAM on the base model and 18GB RAM on the 6 Pro version. The storage comes in either 256GB or 512GB and it cannot be expanded as there's no SD Card slot available.
To ensure smooth running while using the phone especially when gaming as the phone is a gaming centric, Asus makes sure the chipset can achieve 360 degrees of CPU cooling combined with a 30% larger vapor chamber, the thermals of the device remain under the throttling limit for up to 30 minutes during excessive using. The devices come pre-installed with ROG UI based on Google's Android 12 OS.
In the camera department, both device rear panel offer a triple camera set-up which consists of a 50MP Sony IMX766 main sensors accompanied by a 13MP ultra-wide-angle cameras with 125 degrees of field of view, and 5MP macro cameras. While the front utilise a 12MP sensor for selfie and video recording.
The ROG 6 series is powered by a dual-cell 6,000mAh battery capacity which supports 65W wired fast charging, and can be charge with two USB TYPE-C charger at the same as it come with two USB Type-C port. For connectivity the series has 5G connectivity, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6 and Direct, Bluetooth v5.2 and NFC.
Asus include some accessories with the phone which include AeroActive Cooler 6 which offers an integrated Thermoelectric AI Cooling System to help in cooling down the temperature of the phone.
And also ROG Kunai 3 Gamepad which can be attached to the phone making it looks like an hand-held gaming console or can be used via bluetooth connection and can be connected to other device too.
Price
The base model ROG Phone 6 is available for €999/£899 for 12GB/256GB storage options while 16GB/256GB go for €1,149. The Pro model with 18GB/512GB retails for €1,299/£1,099.
And they are both available in Black and White colour options
