Oppo Reno 8 Series Makes its Debut

Oppo held a launch event today (May 23rd) in China where they unveiled the much awaited Oppo Reno 8 series, the successor to last year Reno7 series. The device pack an upgrade over its predecessor. The device comes in three model, Oppo Reno 8, 8 Pro and 8 Pro+
The Oppo Reno 8 features a 6.43-inch screen size while the Pro model use a 6.62 inch AMOLED display and the Pro+ feature a larger screen size of 6.7inch OLED display with support for 120Hz refresh rate.
The Oppo Reno 8 is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 1300 chipset whereas the Pro variant is powered by the recently announced Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor. On the other hand, the Pro+ model is equipped with a Dimensity 8100-Max chipset. All three smartphones pack up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. For interface, all yh three models come pre-installed with ColorOS 12.1 based on Google's Android 12 OS.
For photography, Oppo Reno 8 series sports triple rear cameras. The setup on the base model houses a 50MP main sensor accompany by a 2MP secondary snapper, and a 2MP macro unit. The Pro and Pro+ models have the same sensors except for the 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor. For front camera, all the three models houses a 32MP selfie snapper. The Reno 8 series is powered by a 4,500mAh battery capacity with support for 80W fast charging.
Oppo Reno 8 is available at price tag of CNY 2,499 ($375) for the 8/128GB version and goes up to CNY 2,999 for the 12/256GB variant.
The Pro model cost CNY 2,999 for the 8/128GB variant, while the 8/256GB goes for CNY 3,199 ($180) and 12/256GB CNY 3,499 ($525).
The Reno 8 Pro+ is available at a price tag of Yuan 3,699 for the 8GB/256GB and thr 12GB/256GB goes for Yuan 3,999. It will be available in Xiaoyaoqing (mint), Roaming Grey and Undercurrent paint jobs colour options.
