Paramount+ has already confirmed Halo season 2, but there may be a major change in direction under new showrunner David Wiener. Halo Has Already Been Renewed For Season 2.
Paramount+ ordered Halo season 2 a month before the season 1 premiere, and production is scheduled to begin in the summer. Season 1 was marked with behind-the-scenes drama, with showrunner Kyle Killen departing partway through production. Steven Kane took over and completed the show, but he too left after post-production, reportedly to spend time with his family. David Wiener (Homecoming, The Killing, Brave New World) is set as showrunner for Halo season 2.

The Halo season 1 finale wrapped up its Makee subplot, with the Covenant's Blessed One killed during a battle on the planet Aspero.
