The Regency era was full of lavish ballgowns and handsome waistcoats, and the second season of Bridgerton saw some amazing 19th century outfits.

It's Bridgerton time again, which means devoted fans are being immersed into the world of Regency-era decorum and the stinging pen of Lady Whistledown and her gossip. As audiences are getting back into the swing of lakeside promenades and swoon-worthy dialogue from impassioned 19th-century romantics, they also get to look at all of the amazing costuming.

1.Edwina's Delicate Pink Gown
Being thrust into the season on the Ton is no easy feat, but Edwina came ready as ever. She truly earned her title as the season's Diamond and her grace and pure nature are two of the reasons she's one of the best characters introduced after season 1.

Edwina met the Queen wearing this beautiful soft pink gown with an empire waistline and delicate flower embroidery. She paired it with gorgeous rose gold jewelry with pink gemstones and ivory opera gloves. It's no surprise that she impressed everyone in attendance that night.

2.Kate's Purple Silk & Velvet Dress
A subtle detail about the costumes spotted by eagle-eyed Bridgerton viewers was that many of Kate and Edwina's costumes were influenced by their Indian culture and heritage. This resulted in some absolutely impeccable gowns, shifts, and accessories.

While waiting to take a stroll with the Queen, viewers get a full view of Kate's deep velvet gown overlaying a violet silk underdress. With a split front and split sleeves outlined by golden seams and a gold and lilac belt, Kate looks luxurious and sophisticated. The look is completed with light purple netted glovelets.

3.Mr. Dorset's Emerald Ensemble
While many of the amazing gowns get the attention that they deserve in period dramas, the men's attire sometimes falls to the wayside. Sometimes the formula of men's Regency attire can make all outfits look the same, so it's head-turning when a menswear look stands out in the crowd.

4.Queen Charlotte's Pink & Green Gown
The Queen had a monopoly on screentime in season 2 of Bridgerton, and she had a different costume---and different-colored Baroque-style wig in every scene. While her outfits don't technically fit into the historical time frame, they are some of the most fun of the entire show.

5.Jack Featherington's Waistcoat
One of the biggest plot twists of Bridgerton was that Jack Featherington was secretly broke--but, fans would never be able to tell from some of the fabulous outfits he had this season. The velvet men's attire was popular for multiple characters, including Jack.

With a royal blue velvet waistcoat and sky blue silk tie, Jack did a fantastic job of concealing how bad his finances were from Lady Featherington and the rest of the Ton.

One of the things that makes season 2 of Bridgerton better than season 1 is the amount of attention the matriarchs of the families were given. One of the ways in which the mothers of the show shined was through their wardrobe.
Like Kate's castle tour gown, Mary's is adorned with lavish golden seams and accents.

7.Daphne's Dress For Anthony's Wedding.
Daphne doesn't appear too often in the second installment of the Bridgerton series, but she does pop up every so often to bestow some wisdom upon her younger siblings. One of those instances is right before Anthony is supposed to get married to Edwina.

8.Edwina's Wedding Dress
Although her wedding day didn't go as planned and was one of the biggest Bridgerton scandals, Edwina looked absolutely fantastic. She looked the part of the graceful and lovely bride, even if things ended up falling apart.

Her ivory gown had the typical Regency empire waist and it was decorated with embroidery flowers and intricate designs.

9.Penelope's Starry Night Gown
Penelope wears many yellow gowns on Bridgerton. Like many of the characters, she has a signature color. Lucky for her, it compliments her red hair perfectly. Her yellow ballgown for the first episode of the second season was an especially gorgeous one.
