Three American Rappers With Nigerian Origin

Over the decades, there are famous rappers and musicians that have gradually taken over the music industry in the world. Also, some of these musicians are American rappers and they are still making waves in the music industry.

However, some of these celebrities have sustainable roots or origin from Nigeria and other African countries.
1. Lil Wayne

Dwayne Michael Carter also known as Lil Wayne is an American rapper and record executive. He is regarded by many people as one of the most influential "hip hop" artists of his generation. The entrepreneur who began his music career at a very young age, disclosed that he is a Nigerian.

He disclosed this information while on a Revolt TV show that ancestry test shows that he is 53% of Nigerian. He equally said that he is more Nigerian than American and has also expressed his eagerness to visit Nigeria.

2. Jidenna.

Theodore Mobisson better known as Jidenna is an American rapper and singer. he is also seems to be Nigerian Origin.

3. Wale

Olubowale Victor Akintimehin professionally known as Wale is an American rapper. He was born in Washington DC to Nigerian parents. He rose to prominence in 2006, when his song titled "Dig Dug" became popular in his hometown.

Wale became locally recognized and continued recording music for the regional audience. He has also released track songs titled "On Chill" and "Bad".
