Benzema and Vinicius: The most lethal duo in Europe

Real Madrid currently top LaLiga Santander after 17 matchdays and have an eight-point lead over Sevilla in second place, with their forward duo of Karim Benzema and Vinicius Junior being two of the main reasons behind their flying start to the season.

Carlo Ancelotti has been able to get the best out of Vinicius this campaign, and the Brazilian's link-up play with Benzema has been a sight to behold.

So far this season, Benzema and Vinicius have 23 goals and 12 assists between them in LaLiga Santander, making them two of the most in-form players in Europe.

In Europe, Benzema and Vinicius are the most productive duo across all other top flight leagues.

Their efforts put them ahead of Liverpool's Mohamed Salah and Diogo Jota, who have a combined 22 goals and nine assists.

Bayern Munich's pairing of Robert Lewandowski and Serge Gnabry also have 22 goals between them.

Benzema and Vinicius have been a huge boost for Real Madrid this season. The Frenchman continues being the club's talisman, with the Brazilian stepping up to share the burden in front of goal.

Aside from the stats, their ability to take hold of games in LaLiga Santander and the Champions League has been impressive to say the least.

It is the consistent performances of Benzema and Vinicius that have enabled Real Madrid to mount a serious title challenge and enter the knockout stages of the Champions League.
