Big Brother Naija Shine Ya Eye Head of House, Pere, chose Maria as his Deputy and her performance has got fans talking.

After the nomination show on Monday, the newly appointed HoH was asked to choose his deputy and as expected, he chose his love interest, Maria.

However, as their reign began, Maria has taken charge of the show as she carries her duty effectively.

The fans took to Twitter to comment on the new development and some even accused her of taking over the HoH role from Pere.

A tweep, @fegish1, said, “Pere won the HoH but Maria is the one action. Her husband’s property truly belongs to her.”

“Na Maria go rule this Pere’s administration,” @metronaija tweeted.


Hailing Maria, @Mphephu_Troy, wrote, “If you thought Maria was just going to cruise as DHOH, you were wrong. She is holding it down for Pere and supporting him 100%. I love her authority.”

Some other tweeps, however, hailed Pere for delegating duties to Maria, tagging him as a gentleman.

Another tweep, @oluwaoine, said, “I called my mum and she’s telling me Pere letting Maria do some HOH duties is a sign that he’s a gentle man,that he doesn’t want to overshadow Her and there’s nothing wrong with that.”
