In this rap game, Blaqbonez and Ladipoe seems to be the future for Nigeria.
Both artistes are putting in a lot of work and pushing their craft using any available means.
Looking back at the past 2 to 3 years in the music industry, it feels like now is the right time to have a conversation about who is a bigger artiste between Blaqbonez and Ladipoe.

In a music industry where rappers are under appreciated, Blaqbonez did a lot to force his sound into the throats of Nigerian music lovers.
In 2019, the Chocolate City artiste pushed the Best Rapper In Africa agenda for himself by doing many diss rap contents at any available rapper around and no one seemed to be capable of shutting up up.
After that Blaqbonez went ahead to release “Shut Up” and “Mamiwota” which features Oxlade. In the same year, he released “Mr Boombastic” EP.
This year 2021, Blaqbonez already got a chart topping album, “Sex Over Love“, an album which generated a lot of conversation around most music lovers.
Ladipoe
LADIPOE
Ladipoe got noticed in the music industry when he featured on Falz‘s song “Marry Me” which also had Yemi Alade.
Being the one on the first verse on the song, Ladipoe killed it and at that point the industry already concluded that he is a talented guy who deserves to be in the main stream.
All thanks to Mavin Records for making Ladipoe the first rapper on the label and ofcourse, Mavin has been very strategic about making Ladipoe‘s sound hugely acceptable despite the problem of rap music not doing very well in Nigeria.
After “Talk About Poe’s Album” in 2019, Mavin re-strategized on Ladipoe by getting him to work with good singers like Simi and Buju to make chart topping songs.
So far the strategy is really working out and Ladipoe‘s brand is getting bigger by the day but can we say he is bigger than Blaqbonez now?
