The instruction was given by Michaelia Cash who was the assistant minister for Immigration and Border Protection, she recommends Peter Dutton who was the immigration minister to refuse Chris Brown' s visa because of his character grounds.
Cash later spoke to a reporter about the case saying people who commit domestic violence and want to travel around the world, will not be allowed into Australia because it is not the character that is needed in Australia.
She also said that the government is not afraid to say ' no' .
Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull also supported Cash saying she was expressing the thought and minds of the government and the people.
They were both speaking at the launch of the 100 million Australian dollar initiative fund to prevent domestic violence.
