For half a century Milwaukee had waited on a player like Antetokounmpo and on Tuesday night, he cemented his legacy among the pantheon of Milwaukee Bucks’ greats with a 105-98 win over the Phoenix Suns that secured the franchise’s first NBA championship since 1971.
In a historic performance worthy of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, who last led the Bucks to a title in 1971, Antetokounmpo scored 33 of his 50 points after halftime of Game 6 to beat the Phoenix Suns, 105-98.
After losing the first two games of the series, Milwaukee won four straight.
Antetokounmpo was an easy choice for the Bill Russell Finals MVP award after putting a show through the entire series.
