ANOTHER ONE! 9ice Vs Olamide – Who Wins In A Hits Battle?
In fact, you don’t have to be conversant with the music industry to know these guys. When it comes to hit-making, they’re two of the bests.
9ice and Olamide have a total of 26 studio albums between them, and countless hits. The artists that can hold a candle to them individually are not up to five in this industry, as a matter of fact.
9ice
9ice
Although 9ice debuted in 2007 with “Certificate,” it wasn’t until 2008 that he came to the limelight with his classic studio album, “Gongo Aso.”
Gongo Aso
The album, produced by ID Cabasa, is one of the best projects Nigerian music has ever seen. And, boy, the album had so many hits!
He later went on to drop other notable projects like “Tradition” and “Bashorun Gaa.” Even when the hype wasn’t there anymore, 9ice still continued to drop consistently.
So many hits under his belt, you’d wonder how any artist, living or dead, can touch the guy.

But then there’s Olamide. Came to the game in 2011 and changed the way things were done around here.
Also, like 9ice, his debut “Rapsodi” (also produced by ID Cabasa) didn’t really catch on. But by the time he dropped “YBNL” in 2012, he became a bonafide star and a certified hitmaker.
YBNL
Over the years, Olamide has cemented his legacy here as one of the greatest hitmakers to have ever lived. Especially when it comes to the number of hits, Olamide is number one. Any day, any time, he’ll take on anybody!
