Racist abuse directed at England players, will it ever end?

To add insult to England's injury of losing the final, a number of Black England players have been subjected to racial slurs. Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Bukayo Saka were targeted on social media after they missed penalties in the 3-2 shootout defeat at Wembley Stadium. Before and during the Euro 2020 tournament, the England players have knelt before each of their matches in a display of unity in the fight against racism and inequality, an act that caused anger among sections of the England fan base. Rashford’s mural was vandalized following the Euro final loss. Some fans later covered the racist words with positive messages of support and solidarity for the player. #Euro2020 #Sports
