Chelsea midfielder, N'golo Kante and his France teammates were knocked out of the Euro 2020 by Switzerland on penalties after 3-3 draw in the 120 minutes of play in Copenhagen.

The French team were seen as the favourite to win the tournament but the relentless Swiss side got the better of Didier Deschamps side. Kylian Mbappe's last penalty was saved by Yann Sommer.

After the game, several legends of the game reacted to the mouthwatering clash with former Manchester United stars, Roy Keane and Gary Neville leading the way. Former French international and Euro champion Patrick Vieira also reacted to his country's loss against the Swiss.

Former Republic of Ireland midfielder Roy Keane on ITV: "Switzerland were dead and buried kept fighting, they showed great quality. The French had the game won at 3-1 up. The game was done and dusted. Look at the players celebrating. They have to enjoy these moments. To beat France the world champions. Great night."

Former French midfielder Patrick Vieira on ITV: "Missing a penalty, everyone can miss a penalty but tonight we have to give credit to the Swiss team because I strongly believe that the best team won today. The best team deserve to go to the next round and tonight that is the Swiss.
"It was a poor French national team. There wasn't any togetherness, there wasn't any spirit. We didn't play as a team so we didn't deserve to go to the next round."

Former England right back Gary Neville speaking on ITV: "You just knew as Mbappe was walking up. You thought 'oh no'. He had a couple of moments in Extra Time but its just not gone well for him.
"He has aspirations of being the best player in the world like Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi but this is a little bump in the road for him. He will come through it. He's having a tough time in this tournament and its a tough one for him to take as well as his French team.
"For the Swiss I thought they was the perfect team for France to springboard their assault on this tournament but the Swiss has shocked us all. I am absolutely stunned by what I have seen in the last 120 minutes
