Who are the worst players of round 16 of the 2020 Euros Championship after? A question that can easily be answered based on the expectations most fans had on some players who are underperforming in the tournament so far.
The Round of 16 Euros 2020 has been completed with eight teams making it into the quarterfinals round. Over 8 matches were played in the round of 16 and I have compiled a list of players that underperformed in the round.
NB: in this article, I will share with you the top six worst players that underperformed in the round of 16. Much were expected from these 6 players but they delivered less and disappointed their fans and team. Some of the players in this list performed well in the group stage but were very poor in the round of 16 which led to their team's early elimination in the tournament.
Without wasting much time, I present to you Top 6 worst players in the 2020 Euros Championship round of 16.

Let's go...
1. Kylian Mbappe - (Winger) - France:
Kylian Mbappe is considered as one of the best youngsters in the world due to his success and achievements at a very young age. After his outstanding performance at the 2018 World Cup, many thought Kylian Mbappe will guide France to another major tournament glory.
Unfortunately, the 22-year-old failed to live up to expectations and exited the tournament among the worst players. Kylian Mbappe was average both in the group stage and was the culprit behind France shocking loss to Switzerland, missing the last spot-kick to send France parking.
My Rating: 1/10

2. Memphis Depay - (Striker) - Netherland:
Memphis Depay was one of the best players in the group stage, scoring two goals to help Netherland finish on top of Group C. Memphis Depay was lost and helpless in the round of 16 game between Netherlands and Czech Republic, a match many expected him to make the difference.

The Barcelona striker endured a frustrating game after Netherland were reduced to ten men and was substituted in the closing stage of the game as Netherland crashed out of Euros 2020.
My Rating: 2/10

3. Daniel James - (Winger) - Wales:
A shambolic display from the Manchester United winger as he watched his team crumbled to a heavy defeat against Denmark.
It wasn't only Daniel James that flopped, the entire Wales team underperformed as they were outclassed and disgraced by a ruthless Denmark side in the Round of 16.
My Rating: 1/10

4. Cristiano Ronaldo - (Striker) - Portugal:
Cristiano Ronaldo is a surprise pick on my list and many will disagree with the selection due to the love and sentiment they have for him. The truth needs to be told, Cristiano Ronaldo had a terrible game against Belgium in the Round of 16.
Cristiano Ronaldo was inarguably the best player for Portugal in the group stage after scoring five goals in three matches but the 36-year-old flopped in the round of 16 as he was unable to rescue Portugal from an early exit.
My Rating: 3/10

5. Diogo Jota - (Striker) - Portugal
Diogo Jota was Cristiano Ronaldo's striking partner but the Liverpool's striker was the worst player on the pitch against Belgium and even missed a glorious chance to bring Portugal back to level terms. He was substituted in the second half after the coach had seen enough of his shambolic performance.
My Rating: 1/10

6. Timo Werner - (Striker) - Germany:
Timo Werner has not seen much game time in this competition, and have only made few substitute appearances for Joachim Low's Germany.
Joachim Low handed Timo Werner his first start in the competition against England but the Chelsea winger repaid his coach with a shambolic performance and was substituted early in the second half.
My Rating: 1/10
