5 Reasons Why I Will Never Watch Nigerian Premier Football League Matches Or Take It Serious (No. 3

Let promote our thing, let promote our own, nah so Adamu Garba carry Crowwe enter PlayStore

Please, nobody should ever advertise Nigerian Football League to me again, I’m angry right now.
The European season is over and I just dedicated my time to give our homemade league a second chance and they fucked up big time.
See the five big reasons why I will never watch our league again below.

1. Poorly Managed In Finacial Aspect

5 Reasons Why I Will Never Watch Nigerian Premier Football League Matches Or Take It Serious (No. 3
I will like to reveal the area of player wages, it’s hard to see a Nigerian player collecting as much as 1million naira per week, no good remuneration for players, no bonus to appraise their effort.
Even the staffs, managers are not getting what they deserved, I can boldly tell you that these people are getting lesser than they put in.
Imagine players protesting against the team holding up their payment, despite the peanut they are receiving they will still beg to get it.
It’s only in Nigeria, ASUU will go on strike, Court will go on strike even footballers will go on strike.

2. Sub-Standard Facilities

When we talk about facilities, it’s all about the Stadium, the medical team, the kits and all.
Nigerian Stadium is so poor, there’s no good maintenance. Since we have hosted the under 17 world cup in 2009, our Stadiums haven’t yet been upgraded to the best taste of modern football.
The response from the medical team to injured players on the pitch is weird and disappointing.
Imagine Erkisen’s situation happened in Nigeria, the poor guy would have been declared dead.

3. Poor Officiating

This is the most embarrassing of them all and NPFL must do something about it. It is affecting the integrity of the league.
Inadequate protection and security over the officials have led to poor officiating. Referees have been adjusting the decision to favour the home team regardless of the team.
The chances of home winning in a Nigerian Premier Football League match is 80% no matter how low the home team might be. An underdog team mostly trashed out the best team when on their ground.
Take a close look at the result below, for up thirty matches played within the last two week, only one away team manage to win on a lone goal. Very poor and obvious the officiating is favouring the home team.

How can home teams be winning matches all the time? Imagine that kind of nonsense? seh away no get right to win ni?

4. No Defined Type Of Football

5 Reasons Why I Will Never Watch Nigerian Premier Football League Matches Or Take It Serious (No. 3
Should we say our footballers playing in the NPFL are not talented or what? It’s hard to see a freekick specialist or a player fix to a defined style of play.
Are there no fantastic players that can curve a ball in like Tottenham’s Heung Min Son? or a direct free kick taker like Manchester City’s Kelvin Debruyne? Can’t we have players close to that at least?
Since when I have been watching NPFL, I have never seen a team build-up play that burst my brain for once, all na kick and start “gba gbo”.  Body dn hard like Olumo Rock.
See an example of the kind of gameplay I am talking about not all the nonsense boring football.

The managers can apply some tactics, be creative in squad selections. At least if they’re doing this once in a while it will be impressive to watch and be convinced.

5. Transfer Market Issue

I’m still waiting on the day Nigerian Premier League Football would sign a well-known player not necessary if he’s from Europe.
European Transfer gist is always lively and entertaining to we football lovers even when the season has ended because there are many things to gear up for.
No anticipation for NPFL transfer market, all na play and insha Allah.  I hear say Ahmed Musa dn sign sha.
The End!
