Have You Seen Diamond Plutnumz’ response to BET Award Removal Petition?

If you thought Diamond Platnumz was a sweetheart, wait until you see how he’s chosen to respond to the petition asking to remove him from the BET awards nominees.
During the last week of May, the news of Diamond’s nomination for a BET award spread like a wildfire among Africans. The nomination was (and still is) for BET Award for Best International Act.
No sooner had we all agreed that he deserved it, than some of his non-supporters launched a petition to have him removed from the list.
They did so in order to express their feelings of disappointment. They based their argument on the fact that the artist has been a supporter of the ruling party CCM.
This is a party that the activists do not believe in and should want to see out of power. Diamond being as influential as he is was not expected to support the party and thus to them does not deserve world recognition for his achievements.
Now Diamond responded to the issue while attending an event organized by actress Irene Uwoya in honour of her son Krish.
"I respect everyone's opinion, when someone enjoys my music, insults me, all I say is that I'm grateful," he said.
He also adds, “Do not hate someone who says something bad about you, you never know, don’t let that anger get the better of you, tomorrow he might regret it and apologize to you.”
I don’t know about you but I don’t think I would have been that nice to people who want to rob me off a BET nomination. See? Diamond is such a sweetheart right?
