Buzz Discoveries: Focus on Rapper Azmari

Azmari is a female rapper, singer, songwriter and producer who’s music is undefined by genre. Her inspiration comes from nature, the human psyche, the unknown and everyday sights and sounds. She is a musician who strives to inspire, educate and elevate with her art.

Azmari is gearing up for the release of her debut EP titled 'Moon Goddess'. Ahead of the official release, she joined Buzz for an exclusive interview and shared more about herself and music.

According to Azmari, Hip Hop has always been her secret diary. She would write down her rhymes in secret and just rap in her room. She grew up listening to the likes of Notorious BIG and 2 Pac and admits that these two artistes inspired her signature flow.

Azmari also admits that she made mistakes when she released her first song due to excitement she had back then.

"Our generation likes rushing into things and so you know when you get a song down and listen to it for the first time you just want everybody to hear it" she said

On her upcoming EP that is inspired by the moon, Azmari will be out to show her fans what she is all about as she rides solo on the whole project

"I came up with this storyboard based off of the moon and it's phases. Each and every song not only talks about the moon and it's phases and how it affects our lives but it's like all my music is a form of therapy to everyone who listen's to it" she said.

Azmari is definitely one rapper worth putting a close eye on.
