UEFA reacts after Real Madrid star suffers yet another injury after making his return over weekend
Spanish La Liga Santander champion, Real Madrid star Eden Hazard has suffered yet another injury after he made his return debut for the Los Blancos in their weekend La Liga game .
The Belgian star who just returned from injury managed to play just 15 minutes in Real Madrid comeback 2-1 win over Elche to moved to the second spot on the La Liga table ahead of Barcelona’s game against SD Huesca later today.
Real Madrid confirmed today that Eden Hazard has suffered psoas muscle injury which reports say could rule him out for 4-6 weeks. The 15 minutes debut he made on Saturday was his first return to football since January.
After the injury was confirmed, European football governing body known as UEFA has reacted with a post via their verified twitter handle to re-affirmed the latest update for the 30 years old football icon.
Eden Hazard in his seven seasons at Chelsea only missed 198 days through injury while in-a-season-and-a-half at Real Madrid, he has missed 362 days through injury/illness.
Eden Hazard has played 1484 minutes of a possible 5850 in La Liga since joining Real Madrid in 2019 (25.4%).
Real Madrid confirmed that the former Chelsea star player has suffered another setback after returning to first team action against Elche over the weekend.
Real Madrid manager, Zinedine Zidane is therefore perplexed with the fresh injury of his star player, as grass is not greener on the other side for him since his arrival at the Santiago Bernabeu.
