The Nigerian Nollywood industry has lost more than 5 talented individuals in 2021, but I will be talking about the five most popular ones. The word of God let us to understand that, every living soul will surely die one day, and as such we should always be prepared to embrace death when it comes. The 5 Nollywood Actors whom we have lost so far in the Nigeria movie industry died as a result of different health challenges, and nobody can tell if they were actually prepared to leave the world or not.


Furthermore, this article contains the name and age of the 5 Nigerian Nollywood actress who has lost their lives so far in 2021, and their names includes the following.

1. Ernest Azuzu: Ernest is a Nigerian Nollywood actor who rose to Limelight in the 90' s after starring in a very popular Nollywood movie titled " Rituals" , according to report, it was gathered that Ernest Azuzu was battling with stroke since 2015, which affected his acting career, and rumor also had it that he was seen in the street begging to survive, during the period of illness, his death was confirmed by his wife to main stream media, and he died at the age of 37.




2. Sotonye Dublin- Green: Sotonye happens to be the first Nollywood star to die of Covid- 19 in the history of the Nigerian movie industry, after she was tested positive for Covid- 19, she was taken to Yaba isolation center, where she was given some medical attention, Aremu he died there and her death got announcement online when her best friend made a video of herself and said " Lost My friend this morning, Yaba Isolation centre killed her" . She died at the age of 27.


3. David Mela: David was a very Popular and fast rising Nollywood actor, fashion designer born and raised in Benue state Nigeria, it was reported that he died after battling for long with an unknown alignment. He is referred to as the most handsome Benue state entertainer, and he died at a young age of 32.



4. Jim Lawson Maduike: Veteran Nollywood actor Maduike was reported dead after battling with body pains. He joined the Nollywood industry in 2004 where he starred in so many movies, and he is also known for playing the role of a father, king, and a village elder while he was still active and hardworking in the industry before his demise. Recall that he death came days after the demise of a very popular Yoruba actress Folake Aremu. Actor Lawson died at the age of 63.



5. Folake Aremu. Actress Folake died in ibadan four months after the death of her husband. Folake was well known in the Nigeria movie industry for playing the role of a priestess, pacifist, or the good witch in a movie. She is classified as one of best actress who plays the role mentioned above perfectly well with passion, and she is also loved by many and would always be remembered in the roll she played in the industry. She died at the age of 60.
