Last year in July, rumors spread on social media that Mavin Records Nigerian Singer Rema, was dating Nimie.

The rumours came about after Rema released “Ginger Me Dance Challenge” as way to promote his song “Ginger Me”. The Afro-fusion singer promised that he will go on a date with the ‘lucky girl’ who will win the challenge.

The 20-year-old singer set social media ablaze with this announcement thousands of fans and lovers of “Ginger Me” took the challenged and performed.

Fortunately, a girl named Nimie won the the challenged and Rema had to fulfill his promise.

As promised, they went to the date and that also became another headlines to the degree of speculation that, the two were in real date as they had fallen in love.

Both Nimie and Rema came out to deny the speculations that they were not dating.
